On the afternoon of June 21, 2024, Zhang Shanhu, General Manager of Baotou Jinweida Rare Earth Materials Co., Ltd., and his delegation came to our school's Rare Earth Industry College for research and exchange. Wang Jun, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Peng Jun, Dean of the College of Rare Earth Industry, Feng Dianchen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Rare Earth Industry, Yang Peihong, Vice Dean of the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, Professor Liu Zhongxing of the College of Rare Earth Industry and other teachers from the research group attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Dean Peng Jun welcomed the visit of Zhang Shanhu and his delegation. He said that Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology has always attached great importance to school enterprise cooperation, based on the characteristics of disciplines and majors, actively exploring new models of industry education integration and collaborative education. With the national "dual carbon" target and relevant policies to accelerate the construction of a world-class rare earth industry base in Baotou City, it is hoped to establish a new era cooperation framework and integrate talent cultivation and scientific research feedback into the innovative development model of enterprises.

Zhang Shanhu School expressed gratitude for the support and introduced the basic situation of Jinweida Enterprise, stating that Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology has strong industry service capabilities and high contributions, and has strong capabilities in talent cultivation and scientific research. Willing to cooperate with Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology on a project and sign a "Key Technology Project for Intelligent Production of Rare Earth Metal Electrolysis" with the Rare Earth Industry College on site, transferring a project transfer check of 1.4 million yuan.

At the symposium, both sides focused on the joint construction of scientific research platforms, collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and in-depth exchanges and discussions on "Key Technologies for Intelligent Production of Rare Earth Metal Electrolysis". Consensus was reached on the key technologies of rare earth metal electrolysis, and we look forward to the beautiful results of our cooperation in the future. After the meeting, attendees took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
